Molly + David = True Love Always
Okay, I am coming clean and admitting to the world that I am in love with a teenager. Those of you who missed American Idol last night won't understand the depth of my infatuation, but those who did will understand why I've been trying to convince Spencer to slacken the marital ties that bind us just a bit and let me see if I can somehow win David's heart and why I've wandered the house saying "Molly Archuleta" over and over again just to see how it would sound. AMAZING!!! AMAZING!!! AMAZING!!! The only three words to describe David Archuleta's performance last night on Idol. All joking aside, Spence and I watched it 5 times consecutively on our TiVo and oooohed and aaaahed more and more each time. I can't believe how talented that kid is!! Wow. We'd never ever before watched even one episode of American Idol so this season we decided to jump on the pop culture bandwagon and give it a go. So far, we've not been disappointed. You can bet I'll be tuned in tonight again! So....what do YOU think my chances are with David?? Will my five kids be too much baggage for him to take on? :)

Oh my gosh, Molly! I'm feeling the same thing!! When Matt came home last night, I couldn't even begin to find words to explain David's performance to him. Wow! I can't stand any of the other guys on the show, but my feelings about David are the exact opposite: absolutely in love with him! I'm so glad to know I'm not the only crazy fan. :)
I ditto Paula -- I also want to shrink him and dangle him from my rearview mirror!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!!!! He better win this thing.
I have watched a couple of episodes, but not it all faithfully this season. I have other shows I tape and watch, although I will not admit what they are. I don't recall this guy. I will have to check it out tonight. Good thing I caught your blog. Maybe they will show a recap of his performance tonight.
Is he as good as Clay Akien was seasons ago? I liked him. He was a really dorky kid at first, but sang very well and came in second place, although still does quite well.
I want to respond but all I can do is stare at his little, pre-pubescent baby-moustache! This kid looks 11! Forget about marrying him, maybe you could adopt him!
The real question is...did you call and vote for him?
yikes!
Mols, I am going to warn you and hope that you listen - he is only 17. That may fly in Indiana, but in Utah you need a note from his parents for this relationship. I love him too, tears in the eyes after his Imagine performance.
All right Molly: in honor of you, I turned on American Idol for the first time this season. Yes, he's cute. Yes, he's good. But he's got NOTHIN compared to his dad. Did you see the handlebar? It's Magna's finest, I'll tell you!
